Latest Injury Updates on Liu Yang, Chinese Astronaut with Shandong Taishan
Tencent Sports reported that Liu Yang, the Chinese astronaut with Shandong Taishan, has suffered a severe injury to his left leg in space.
The cause of the injury is currently unknown, but it is believed to be related to the high altitude and low gravity environment of space travel.
Liu Yang was scheduled to return home from space station Shenzhou XII on February 21st, but he decided not to do so due to the risk of injury during the journey.
He underwent surgery on March 4th at the Beijing Medical Center, where he received treatment for the injury and was released from hospital on April 7th.
Despite his recovery, Liu Yang's condition remains critical, and he will need to undergo further tests and treatments before returning to Earth.
It is hoped that Liu Yang will recover quickly and return safely to Earth, which will be a great achievement for China's space program.
In addition to Liu Yang, other Chinese astronauts have also experienced injuries in space, including Ye Guangfu, who lost his right leg during his mission to the International Space Station in 2018.
As we can see, even with the best efforts by the Chinese government and the international community, space travel still faces many challenges, and the safety and health of astronauts are always a top priority.
